The Project is directed by a Steering Committee, chaired by the Democratic Governance Team Leader of UNDP/BRC, complemented by an appointed representative of the Hellenic Government.

The first Steering Committee meeting took place on 20 November 2006 in Greece. The two parties to the Agreement were represented at the highest level, by the Minister of Interior, Public Administration and Decentralisation, Professor Prokopios Pavlopoulos, and the UNDP/BRC Director, Dr. Ben Slay.

The Steering Committee discussed the future direction of UNDP - RCPAR's activities in the framework of a longer term partnership between the Hellenic Government and UNDP/BRC. Both parties underlined that the cooperation in the past year has been very fruitful and that they remain committed to developing the five year programme for the period 2008 - 2012.
